Johnny Depp spent $60 grand boying coats for the Pirates of the Caribbean cast. The gang is filming the fourth installment of the movie and a little bit of a cold snap hit the area. But never fear, Johnny came to the rescue!
Johnny spent over $60,000 of his own money to buy warm clothes for all of the cast and crew. Can you believe that? From Celebuzz:
A crew member tells the newspaper that, responding to a recent cold snap in the weather, Depp purchased jackets for the entire crew—at considerable personal expense to himself. The source reveals,
“Johnny paid out of his own pocket for all 500 of us to have a nice warm waterproof…It’s a great morale boost and another example of why he is one of the nicest people in Hollywood.”
According to the paper, the waterproof hiking jackets cost about $125 each—making a grand total of $62,000 and change that Depp spent to keep his crew warm.
How nice is that? No wonder why people love Johnny and Vanessa so much! What would you do if you had the money to blow on people like that?
