Katy Perry and Russell Brand are Married! The two lovebirds wed in traditional Hindu ceremony on Saturday night at a luxury resort Aman-I-Khas in Jaipur, Rajasthan in front of family and friends.
Security was said to be very tight. Perry rumored to have worn a sari and a white Western wedding gown for the wedding and Brand had a traditional henna tattoo on his hand and his long soccer socks. (No, I made up the soccer socks part)
It’s unclear whether Katy’s buddy Rihanna was there at the wedding or not.
In case you didn’t know India has a good 12 hours difference from us on the West Coast.
Katy and Russell met at the MTV Video Music Awards last year and the two have been inseparable ever since.
Congratulations to the happy newlyweds! By the way, Katy turns 26 on Monday. Happy birthday to-be to the new bride.

I have to admit I never thought they’d even make it to a wedding, but good for them. Russell has been looking for this all of his life, and I hope it works out. Bonus: Their anniversary is the same as mine.
I’ve heard before that people who have very expensive weddings tend to get divorce sooner – the theory was that they go into the marriage with the idea that everything will be “perfect” and fairytale ending – and when they have to deal with fact that their spouse is far from perfect, they get divorce. In contrast to people who get married, knowing that their wedding is not the dream wedding from their fantasy and they learn to accept that they can’t always have it their way.
At least that is what the story was on the radio.
