While he’s won the actor jackpot with a starring role on a plum TV show, Cory Monteith says he really loved being a construction worker. These days, Monteith pays the bills by singing, dancing and carrying on with Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison.
Yet if we were to have seen the soon-to-be-thespian in action pre-Glee, we would have seen a very different kind of existance.
“If you’re an aspiring actor and you want a good character study, you should be a taxi driver for a while — you see a lot of characters,” Monteith says. “I might do construction. I really enjoyed that. It’s very tangible, and you’re outside all day. It’s good fun!”
Matthew Morrison also worked at Wal-Mart as a greeter.
