Will Ferrell lost an $18 million case against big New York bank JP Morgan Chase. According to reports, Will Ferrell and Larry David filed an “arbitration claim” which means the bank entered into some sort of faulty purchase of securities.
No details were confirmed by news outlets, but Will Ferrell and Larry David went to court and guess what – JP Morgan Chase won. Not only that, but Ferrell also owes $600K in penalties and legal costs
“In layman’s terms, Ferrell wanted JPMorgan to essentially void the purchase of the securities. The specific securities were not disclosed. A Financial Industry Regulatory Authority panel also ordered the actor to pay $22,500 for “discovery abuse and failure to comply with the forum’s discovery rules and procedures,” according to the site.”
Wow. $18 million may sound like a lofty price for us, but Will Ferrell‘s net worth is estimated at anywhere from $40-$80 million dollars.

If he is worth $40-$80 million I can only guess that cheerleading pays well. 18 million is still a big chunk of change to lose based upon his net worth.
