Jessica Simpson said her fiance Eric Johnson hid the engagement ring in one of her shoes at her house! And the proposal was planned three weeks before he actually popped the question.
So there you go, Jessica wants us to know that it wasn’t because of Nick Lachey getting engaged which sparked Jess and Eric to rush into it.
Simpson explained to Jimmy Fallon during Tuesday appearance on his show, Eric, 31, was in cahoots with Jess’ parents Joe and Tina and her little sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz about the impending moment.
She added, “He had talked to my dad, he had talked to my mom, he even talked to my sister. Everybody knew but me!”
Jess said her family kept the secret “for about three weeks.”
As for her $150,000 ring? “He kept the ring hidden in a shoe at my house.”

When he finally popped the question, “It was at my house,” Simpson said. “It was romantic that he actually asked me at my house, because that’s my little safe haven.”
We hope Jessica has found true love but rumor has been swirling that she pays for everything between them even her own engagement ring; and she’s rumored to be paying for him to start his own vegan food chain. Sigh! It could be a bad sign. It could kill a man’s ego even if he’s not after your money.. just my old fashion thinking. I hope I’m wrong. What do you think?
