Lindsay Lohan has been fired from her latest project, Inferno – The Linda Lovelace Story. Lohan signed on to play the Deep Throat porn actress last spring before her fall from grace, multiple rehab stays and admission to the public that she has a cocaine addiction.
Director Matthew Wilder told the media this morning that he “stuck by” Lindsay, but it seems that her rotten reputation in police record made it next to impossible for her to get insured.
“We have stuck by Lindsay very patiently for a long time with a lot of love and support,” Wilder says. “Ultimately, the impossibility of insuring her — and some other issues — have made it impossible for us to go forward.”
No word on what these “other issues” might be, but Wilder should be thrilled that there’s already been so much publicity for his yet-to-be-made (or even cast!) film.
