Lindsay Lohan didn’t QUIT, she was indeed fired from Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story. Director Matthew Wilder confirmed that he and the producers of “Inferno” had come to the decision to recast the film about the late porn star. He denied an earlier report that Lohan had quit the project, but declined to elaborate further, saying he wanted to avoid “mudslinging.”
Wilder did say that he would reveal more details Monday about what occurred between the filmmakers and Lindsay, and who would replace her. We have already reported that the Watchmen star Malin Akerman is set to replace LiLo.
It wasn’t so long ago when Wilder seemed deadset on sticking with Lohan through thick and thin, was it?
Wilder said in July, ”Not moving on, not recasting, not under any circumstances,”
In October, Wilder was getting frustrated by Lohan’s schedule, while also saying that he hoped to shoot after LiLo emerged from her rehab treatment at the Betty Ford Center in January. But I guess all the waiting has taken its toll.
Anyway, we believe LiLo spending some time in rehab is a good thing despite what happens in the short span. We believe LiLo will be coming back in a big way. Don’t you believe that at times we have to hit rock bottom before getting back to our senses? I do.
