Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton are engaged! Prince William finally popped the question to his long-time girlfriend Kate Middleton! The Royal wedding is set to take place either next spring or summer!
William,29, and Kate,28, met at Scotland’s St. Andrew’s University in 2001. They were both freshman students. In 2002, the two along with two other friends moved in to a student apartment together. Their relationship reportedly started soon thereafter.
The wedding will come 30 years after the last great royal marriage – that of William’s late mother Lady Diana Spencer, and his father, Prince Charles. Sadly, the marriage ended in divorce in 15 years later. The ill-fated Diana was dead 16 years later in a horrific car crash in Paris along with her companion Dodi Fayed in 1997. She was only 36.
