Benjamin Millepied, the ballet dancer who’s responsible for getting Natalie Portman pregnant. Millepied and Portman are engaged! The couple met and began dating during the production of Black Swan.
Benjamin, 33, a Frenchman born in Bordeaux, France, isn’t just any ballet dancer. Millepied is a world famous ballet choreographer and the principal dancer at the New York Ballet. Benjamin started ballet training with his mother who’s a former ballet dancer when he was 8.
In 1995, Millepied joined New York City Ballet’s corps de ballet, was promoted to soloist in 1998 and became principal dancer in 2002. So now you know ballet isn’t just for women or gay men. Don’t stereotype.
When asked about his acting in Black Swan, Benjamin told Details magazine last year that he was really really into it and was blown away especially by Natalie, she was amazing to watch.
The movie has earned Nat nominations for a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award. They were first seen together at a New Year Eve’s party last year.
