Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck is a German director. You might have noticed the really tall Florian, who stands 6 feet 8 hitting the red carpets of The Tourist with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie as he is the director of the film.
Florian is best known for his 2007 Oscar winning film: The Lives of Others. He speaks five languages fluently: German, English, French, Italian and Russian.
Florian, 37, had grew up in New York, Brussels (where they speak French), Frankfurt and West Berlin. He studied in Oxford university, England, St. Petersburg, Russia and in Munich, Germany.
Florian and his wife have three children together and they reside in Los Angeles.
Next time when you see this really tall gentleman hitting the red carpet with Jolie or Depp, you’d know he’s the director for their new film, The Tourist. He’s tall! He could have been a basketball player too.
