Lily Allen is engaged to boyfriend Sam Cooper! Allen, the 25-year-old “Smile” singer and her boyfriend hopped onto the year-end love wagon and made that lifetime commitment while vacationing in Bali.
Cooper popped the question on Christmas Day while they were vacationing in Bali, Indonesia and he took Lily completely off guard. She was so happy that she burst into tears of joy. Lily suffered a miscarriage just weeks ago.
A friend of the couple told the Daily Mail: “It has been a terrible time for Lily and Sam, but they are totally in love with one another.
Allen has described Cooper,32, a builder and decorator, as a “normal bloke” and “the love of my life.”
She added: “Sam treats me differently. He’s told me he’ll look after me forever. That’s what I’ve always wanted.”
Allen’s miscarriage six months into her pregnancy in November; that was her second, after she suffered one miscarriage when she was with former boyfriend Ed Simons of The Chemical Brothers.
Lily and Sam have been dating since July 2009.
Congratulations to the happy couple! Who else is going to jump onto the marriage train before ringing in the New Year? Come on Justin Timberlake! Doubtful though.
