Miley Cyrus’ latest leaked video of the singer taking a bong hit of salvia may get the substance banned once again. Salvia, a natural herb known to have hallucinogenic tendencies, is legal in California but a former CA state assemblyman thinks this would be a good time to try to reverse that legislation.
Back in 2007, reports TMZ.com, Anthony Adams tried his hardest to get the herb banned. Unfortunately, the state of California disagreed and the weed remained legal to minors.
In light of Miley‘s bong-gate, Adams would like to try once again to get salvia outlawed.
“After seeing the video of Miley smoking the drug, Adams thinks this is the perfect time to bring back his failed bill: “It’s time for state and federalgovernments to renew their push toward an outright ban.”
Eh – I doubt this will have legs, but it’s amazing that an 18-year-old smoking a legal substance would cause such a ripple on the Internet.
