Oprah Winfrey has shot down claims that she’s a lesbian. Oprah and her good friend Gayle King have long been suspected to be lovers seeing as Oprah has never married and neither has Gayle.
The two have been spotted on vacations together and Oprah has hired Gayle for gigs at the O network – big deal, right? But this hasn’t stopped tabloids from constant speculation. Of all the homosexuality rumors, Oprah said:
“I’m not a lesbian. I’m not even kind of a lesbian. And the reason why [the rumor] irritates me is because it means that somebody must think I’m lying. That’s No. 1. No. 2 … why would you want to hide it? That is not the way I run my life. She is … the mother I never had,” Winfrey says as she chokes back tears. “She is … the sister everybody would want. She is the friend that everybody deserves. I don’t know a better person. I don’t know a better person. It’s making me cry because I’m thinking about … how much … I probably have never told her that.”
I think Oprah is definitely telling the truth. If she’s indeed a lesbian, she’d admit it. What do you think? Is Oprah hiding something or is she being truthful?
