It’s the ending of an era! Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have split. The High School Musical co-stars dated exclusively for almost six years after meeting in 2005 and it was a tweeny romance that seemed sturdy amidst all the requisite show biz rumors.
So what were their reasons? Was there someone else? Did Zac Efron finally come out of the closet? Did Vanessa meet someone else?
Nope, sorry, it’s dreadfully boring: the two just grew apart.
A group of “sources” told E!’s Marc Malkin:
“It’s nothing dramatic,” one source said. “There’s no third party involved.”
Says another source, “They were together for so long. It just ran its course.”
