Britney Spears did it again! Spears’ new single “Hold it Against Me” since its release on Monday is sitting at number 1 spot on itunes. It has broken all previous records for “the most number of spins for a first or any one-day” at both Mediabase station and BDS since its digital release.
“Top 40 outlets across the country immediately put ‘Hold It Against Me’ in rotation and received instant-reaction airplay at America’s most-influential stations including Z100 and WXRK in New York and KIIS and KAMP in Los Angeles,” according to one of the radio industry’s top analysts Kevin McCabe, founding principal of Musicrunch.
Sharon Dastur, program director for New York’s Z100 said, “Ever since we played it yesterday [Monday], the reaction has been phenomenal. The audience loves it!”
Impressive Britney! Of course this baby is again composed by Max Martin and Dr. Luke Gottwald. Max Martin if you didn’t know is a very famous Swedish music producer and composer. He’s crafted a lot of hits for top artists namely Britney’s Oops I did it Again; Baby One More Time; 3. Oh don’t forget Katy Perry’s I Kissed A Girl.
