The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, TV’s House M.D. and rapper Eminem each won four awards at Wednesday’s People’s Choice Awards. The event was hosted by Queen Latifah at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.
Eclipse was named favorite overall movie, as well as favorite drama by the fans. Robert Patterson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner took home the award for favorite onscreen team. Stewart also took favorite movie actress.
Toy Story 3 won favorite family movie award. Johnny Depp scored favorite actor. Jackie Chan took home best action star award and Adam Sandler is the favorite comedian.
House M.D. voted favorite TV drama. The show was fans’ favorite television drama. Hugh Laurie and Lisa Edelstein were the favorite actor and actress in the drama category. Gregory House, Hugh’s character was named favorite TV doctor.
Glee was voted top TV comedy.
Eminem took home four awards: fans’ favorite hip-hop artist and male musician, and his song with Rihanna, “Love the Way You Lie,” won favorite song and music video.
Katy Perry scored two trophies: favorite female artist and favorite online sensation.
Rihanna, Usher and Taylor Swift were named favorite pop, R&B and country artist, respectively.
As for the favorite breakout artist award? It goes to Selena Gomez, beating out her rumored boyfriend Justin Bieber!
