JAMES FRANCO Biography
James Franco is a film director, screenwriter, film producer, author, painter and performance artist. Franco achieved international fame playing Harry Osborn in Spider-Man trilogy.
Franco grew up in California with his two younger brothers, Tom and Dave. He excelled in math at school and interned at Lockheed Martin. Franco was a trouble-maker during his teen years, he was arrested for underage drinking, graffiti and for being a part of a group that stole designer fragrances from department stores and sold them to classmates.
Franco had always secretly wanted to be an actor but feared rejection and had acted in plays in high school. He enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) as an English major but dropped out after his freshman year against his parents’ wishes to pursue his acting career. He started taking acting lessons and took up a late-night job at McDonald’s to support himself since his parents refused to help out.
