Miley Cyrus was caught smoking pot this past fall and the controversy has effected a scene in her upcoming film LOL. Cyrus plays a rebellious teen in the movie who gets caught smoking pot by her mother, played by Demi Moore.
Lo and behold, art imitated life as Cyrus was in fact caught taking a bong hit with friends. The studio has taken this into consideration and is paranoid parents will think they’re glamorizing drug use.
“Why all the fuss? “The studio doesn’t want to take any chances having the controversy affect the film,” says the insider of the bong video, in which Cyrus smoked salvia — a natural, legal hallucinogenic – while partying at her L.A.-area home. “The scene can’t be reshot,” the source explains. Instead, using “tricky editing and effects magic, they are erasing all traces of her inhaling or being in the same shot with the actor.”
