Carrie Underwood’s songs are totally banned from an Ottawa radio station: Kiss 105.3 FM! Don’t tell me Carrie is singing racy country these days? Not quite.. it’s all because of her husband, Mike Fisher who traded!!
Carrie’s hockey star husband who’s a Canadian native was traded from the Ottawa Senators to her hometown’s Nashville Predators that angered the Ottawa station big time!
The station, Kiss 105.3 called the move a “betrayal to our community” and charged that Mike “was lured away from Ottawa by a country-music superstar.”
Sigh.
“I heard about it right away and Carrie heard about it and she was extremely disappointed and frustrated,” Mike told the Vancouver Sun. “I think they meant it as a joke that really wasn’t funny.”
“I don’t know if it was for attention or not, but obviously Carrie had nothing to do with the move or the trade or anything so to imply something like that was just wrong,” said Fisher.
As for the move to Nashville? “To be honest, I was praying a few days before about it,” Mike added.
“I was just so frustrated and said ‘God, if you have me go somewhere take care of it, look after it,’ and he sure did that,” Fisher said.
And what about life in the country music capital Nashville? “He put me in a place I was comfortable with and I think that’s part of reason that this is the place I’m supposed to be and that’s comforting for sure,” Mike said.
Surely the station isn’t serious as we Canadians don’t hold grudges. A lot of our talents have been lured away namely our young Justin Bieber.
Mike is a good man, he is a very devoted Christian. I like that. I too believe nothing is done right without God’s help.

Mike and Carrie got married last July. The couple is expecting their first child this summer.
