Christina Aguilera fumbles the National Anthem lyrics during the Super Bowl. The five-time Grammy winner, Xtina messed up a bit of the lyrics singing the National Anthem live in front of millions of viewers.
Instead of singing “O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?” in the fourth line; She repeated the second line with a slight variation. From “What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?”, she changed into “What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last gleaming?”. Oops!
The messed up caused a lot of viewers to take to Twitter to vent immediately.
Aguilera said after the performance,“I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through.”
The song is so difficult to sing and performing in front of so many viewers could be a lot of pressure even for an ultra- experienced performer like Xtina. So give her a break!

maybe if she was more focused on the words and not adding all her ooos and ahhhhs and riffs and what not she would have gotten it right! I’m not a fan of christina ever, this is no exception. Big thumbs down!
