David Arquette admits to Oprah Winfrey he tried drugs and booze at a very early age. David had his interview with Oprah this week and said he had his first beer at four years old! He also had some pretty shocking things to add, which will come out on today’s scheduled showing.
David is trying for sobriety, after a public split from Courteney Cox. David says he is working hard after rehab, but it is a lifetime of changes for him.
It wasn’t just a one-time mistake, either; though he waited a few years, Arquette was a regular drinker from a very early age.
“I seriously started drinking probably when I was about twelve. Kids are doing a lot of stuff very early. I stole pot from my dad when I was eight years old.”
In December, Arquette spoke with George Lopez about his long history of partying, saying “I’ve always been wild.”
So obviously his parents – or at least his dad – weren’t a great influence. Courteney was probably good for him. Do you think they can get back together if he stays sober?

Unfortunately….as soon as he attains control
of his life and his addiction, the absolute worse
thing that can happen is courtney gets back with him,
He thinks this is his “holy grail” to get back with her
but once she takes him back, the immense pressure
will build up in him and he will plunge back into the darkness.
Nothing damages the spirit faster than an argument with
your wife.
What he should do is consult Bill Maher.
He should just become a confirmed bachelor and
continue the relationship with courtney and their
daughter from a comfortable distance.
For his own sanity
