Gwyneth Paltrow landed another singing gig – this time she will perform at the Oscar Awards. Gwyneth performed on live TV during the CMA – Country Music Association – awards in November and had a great reception. Gwyneth stars in Country Strong, a movie where she sang the title track.
Was the movie that great? No, but since Gwyneth is an Oscar winner, they gave her an invite!
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences tweeted confirmation today of what we already suspected: Gwyneth will perform her Oscar-nominated song “Coming Home” from “Country Strong” during the awards show. Gwynnie has been performing all over the place since she filmed “Country Strong,” showing off her fabulous singing voice on “Glee” and “Saturday Night Live” before announcing she was recording a version of “Forget You” with Cee Lo and that she might even go on tour.
Gwyneth has probably gotten a lot of tips from her rocker husband, Chris Martin. What do you think of her song and the attention she is getting for it? There are only a few more weeks until the Oscars are on TV!
