Jennifer Lopez broke down and cried on last night’s American Idol. Lopez has gotten a reputation in the entertainment business for being tough and unforgiving, but last night she showed a human side when she broke down and cried after telling a contestant he didn’t make the final 24.
Milwaukee’s Chris Medina who introduced his handicapped fiance to the judges and sang songs specifically for her.
While he seemed to take the rejection in stride and was happy to have just met J.Lo and Steven Tyler, Lopez for her part broke down. Between sobs she told Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler “I don’t want to do this anymore.”
Which makes one wonder – are the pressures of Idol too much for some sensitive women? Ellen DeGeneres made an exit after one season for similar reasons.
