It was a huge night for the trio country band Lady Antebellum. The Nashville country trio took home Song of The Year Award for “Need You Now” over Cee Lo Green’s Forget You and Eminem’s Love The Way You Lie featuring Rihanna.
Lady Antebellum also picked up four other Grammy nominations this year, including Best Country Album. The band won in every category it was nominated except Album of The Year which went to the indie-rock band Arcade Fire.
Eminem coming into the Grammy with 10 nods only took home two awards: Best Rap Album for his “Recovery” album; Best Solo Rap Performance for “Not Afraid.”
Lady Gaga won best pop vocal album for The Fame Monster.
Biggest shocker of the night, Jazz artist and bassist Esperanza Spalding took home the Best New Artist Award beating both Justin Bieber and Drake.
