Lady Gaga admits on 60 minutes that she smoked a lot of weed and drinks whiskey when she writes. Perhaps that’s why her music sounds so much like Madonna‘s?
When being interviewed by Anderson Cooper, she said:
“I smoke a lot of pot when I write music. I’m not gonna, like, sugar coat it for 60 Minutes that, you know, I’m some, like, sober human being, ’cause I’m not. I drink a lot of whiskey and I smoke weed when I write. I don’t do it a lot because it’s not good for my voice.”
So why the admission from the former cocaine addict? She just wants to be relatable.
“I don’t want to encourage kids to do drugs,” she said. “What artists do wrong is they lie. And I don’t lie. I’m not a liar. I built good will with my fans. They know who I am. And I’m just like them in so many ways.”
What do you think? Is admitting to drug use harmful for her fans?
