A 34-year-old single woman put an ad on Craigslist personals under the “Women for Men” section January 14, “Will someone prove to me not all CL men look like toads?” she asked, inviting “financially & emotionally secure” men to reply.
That afternoon, a man named Christopher Lee replied. He used a Gmail account that Rep. Christopher Lee has since confirmed to be his own.
By email, Lee introduced himself as a 39-year-old divorced lobbyist and sent a PG picture to the woman from the ad. (Truth is Chris Lee is 46, married and has one son with his wife.)
Lee’s Craigslist correspondent who also happens to be a government employee; has asked not to be identified. She’s from Maryland and liked what she saw. She replied flirtatiously..He got naughtier and replied with a PG-13 shirtless picture.
Three hours after his shirtless Craigslist antics appeared on Gawker.com, Rep. Chris Lee announced his resignation from the U.S. House of Representatives.
Sigh! It’s hard to be a spouse these days, isn’t it? You never know if your other half is cheating on you.
