Rihanna is rumored to play Whitney Houston’s role in The Bodyguard remake. Those of us who are old enough must remember The Bodyguard — that was THE Blockbuster film which made Whitney and Kevin Costner, the Hollywood heartthrobs.
If you’re not old enough take my word for it, Whitney was absolutely gorgeous, yes come to think about it she was just like Ri Ri today and she probably would have stayed amazing and aged gracefully if she never got heavily into drugs.. I’ve included a couple pictures of Whitney and Kevin in The Bodyguard. Darn, he was handsome!
After watching the movie, I had so wanted Costner to hook up with Houston which unfortunately never materialized.
Warner Bros is gearing up to remake its 1992 blockbuster “The Bodyguard” and it seems like Rihanna could be in the title role. The film will be scripted by Jeremiah Friedman and Nick Palmer.
The updated script will cast the bodyguard as”..a former Iraq war veteran who gets the job protecting a big star as his first gig after leaving the Army. He discovers that the world of Twitter, Google Maps and TMZ has made access to celebrities easier than ever, making the job more difficult than ever.”
I can so see Rihanna reprising the role of Whitney but who’s good enough to be the bodyguard? Gotta be someone handsome, wholesome and mature…
Is anyone old enough to have watched The Bodyguard? Can you so see Rihanna playing the then Houston? Who could match the handsome bodyguard Kevin Costner? I’m sorry I can’t think of anyone.. as yet.
