We talked to Dr. Afield earlier to discuss the destructive path being taken by Sheen. Dr. Afield is a nationally known medical doctor and psychiatrist, treating both children and adults for over 50 years.

Sheen’s recent series of out-of-control behavior is causing many to wonder whether the former “Two and A Half Men” actor has hit rock bottom or if it can get even worse.

We’ve been following Charlie’s media meltdown and it’s getting more and more scary. And what’s very interesting is he’s been passing all the drug tests. So what gives? What is happening to Charlie? What is he experiencing?

Dr. Afield thinks Charlie is a wonder actor (I think most of us would agree) but what Charlie’s experiencing is a massive deterioration of his mind and mental breakdown. Charlie could well be going through a manic episode; it could be a result of drug use: cocaine, alcohol. Or he could even be going through serious withdrawal symptoms. (Since we are seeing Charlie passing all the recent drug tests)

The doctor said what we are seeing is a glamorous and super successful person breaking down on national television and when we scratch underneath the surface he’s just another human being breaking down mentally.

Lots of famous people have drifted to drugs and alcohol; it was the same way in the past. The only difference is that in the past, things were more hidden. Today with all the modern technology; everything is a click or a phone call away.

I dare to ask Dr. Afield what he thinks would happen to Charlie if he doesn’t seek help.

The doctor says Charlie could potentially commit suicide.

I ask the doctor a very far fetched question of whether this could all be a publicity stunt.

Dr. Afield says there’s no way. No one goes on TV to destroy their career and their family.

It would be good if someone can make Charlie go and seek help. We really wish Charlie the best of luck and be able to get out of the stage he’s in.
