MICHAEL DOUGLAS recently revealed that wife CATHERINE ZETA JONES was forced to reveal her bipolar disorder. CZJ shocked the world last week when she covered People magazine and told the magazine about her stay in a mental ward while she recovered from bipolar 2 disorder.
While Jones told the magazine she came out in order to “build awareness” for the disease, her husband tells a different story.
“I must say, Catherine’s being quite open about it because she was outed, you know,” he said. “She went to go get some help and some other patient probably in there said, ‘Hey, you won’t believe who’s in here now.’ And, so, once that happens, I think she felt [it] best to kind of get out the story.”
Yeah, I suppose it’s best to beat the tabloids at their own game. Regardless, it seems both Michael and Catherine are doing fine now. Alls well that ends well.
