It’s official “ALL MY CHILDREN” and “ONE LIFE TO LIVE” are finished! ABC has pulled the plug on its longest running soaps.
According to the network, The final episode of ‘All My Children‘ will air till this September. ‘One Life to Live‘ will air end after January 2012. ABC will replace these two iconic soaps with two new ones: ‘The Chew’ and ‘The Revolution.’
The two new soaps will focus on health and food.
“All My Children” has been on the air since 1970 … and “One Life to Live” debuted in 1968.
ABC released a statement saying, “Guided by extensive research into what today’s daytime viewers want and the changing viewing patterns of the audience, ABC is evolving the face of daytime television with the launch of two new shows.”
Does anyone watch these two shows? I remember watching them when I was growing up but haven’t watch them in a million years.
Do you think it’s time to replace them? Or not?
