LINDSAY LOHAN may get off on just a misdemeanor, instead of felony, charge when she’s tried later this month. Back in January Lohan waltzed away from a Venice Beach boutique wearing a $2500 necklace and was then dragged to court as the boutique hoped to slap her with a felony grand theft charge.
However, said boutique’s habit of marking up all their merchandise might just be the factor that prevents LiLo from getting charged. As it turns out, the necklace in question normally only retails for about $850 and in order to be charged with a felony theft charge the item in question must be over $950.
Knowing Lindsay‘s incredible luck, she’ll probably only get charged with a misdemeanor, which might actually be fair considering the circumstances.
