There is a list of new rules that the JERSEY SHORE cast has been given by the Florence mayor before they start filming their Season 4 in Florence, Italy. Yes Snooki, The Situation & Co. will be holed up in beautiful Florence doing their GTL and fist-pumping for the new season of the MTV hit show.
But listen carefully as to not get deported from the motherland! The mayor of Florence, Matteo Renzi, has made a list of rules that the GTL gang has to follow while they’re on their turf.
The list published in the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera, are:
– The cast will not be filmed in bars and clubs that serve alcohol.
– The cast will not be filmed drinking in public.
– The show will not be filmed to promote Florence as a drinking town.
– The show should be filmed in a manner to promote Italy (not Americans visiting Italy) and feature it’s culture and good food.
In addition to these strict guidelines, Renzi has also banned the reality show from filming in some of the city’s historic buildings.
Don’t film in bars, don’t film them drinking in public..Is that mostly what they do? So why go to Florence? Mind as well close their doors and stay home?
This is just one of the latest hurdles that the not too popular guidos and guidettes have to overcome.
Some Italians are outraged that the GTL gang is heading their way.
“They embody the worst stereotypes of Italians, multiplied by thousands and Americanized,” columnist Roberto Del Bove said in the Rome newspaper New Notzie last month.
We wish our Shore buddies the best of luck and hopefully not getting booed too much while they’re away from home.
