ROBERT PATTINSON is weaning off KRISTEN STEWART at least for his acting career! Pattinson’s new flick “Water for Elephants” debuted with an estimated $17.5 million.
For Pattinson, the opening number is a big step up from his last non-Twilight film, “Remember Me,” which opened to merely $8.1 million last year.
“Water for Elephants” performance probably comes as a greater relief to Witherspoon than Pattinson; Reese’s “How Do You Know” was one of 2010′s biggest bombs. The $120 million comedy grossed less than $50 million worldwide.
