TIM HETHERINGTON, documentary filmmaker, co-director of Restrepo, the Oscar nominee was killed while covering the conflict in Libya. Hetherington was only 41 years old!
Hetherington was killed in an explosion today in the city of Misurata, Libya.
The British-born veteran correspondent took to Twitter earlier reporting the danger he was facing.
“In besieged Libyan city of Misrata,” he tweeted. “Indiscriminate shelling by Qaddafi forces. No sign of NATO.”
