OUT magazine presents the 5th Annual Power 50: a comprehensive list of the most influential gays and lesbians in America! Apple’s TIM COOK tops the list; Ellen DeGeneres at spot 2 and Anderson Cooper who held firm number 3.
MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow at number 4, and Rep. Barney Frank rounds out the top five.
The list includes quite a few newbies; it’s also the first year that the list has been topped by someone from the tech world, in the shape of Apple’s COO, Tim Cook, who has helped turn his company into one of the world’ most influential.”
The positions were determined by a range of factors, including power to influence cultural and social attitudes, political clout, individual wealth, and a person’s media profile.
