TAYLOR SWIFT wins ENTERTAINER of THE YEAR at the Academy of Country Music Awards! SWIFT bagged the only award of the night which was voted by fans!
“This is the first time that I’ve ever won this and I’m just losing my mind,” Swift said as she fought back her tears, whose album “Speak Now” sold 1 million copies in its first week alone when it was released last fall. “The fact that this is from the fans makes it so special.”
Tonight other big winner, Miranda Lambert who bagged four awards at the event, was up against Swift for the fan-voted Entertainer Award but lost. On the bright side, Lambert, the 27-year-old Texan took home four trophies including CMA Top Female Vocalist Award of the year.
Lambert, the 27-year-old Texan, went into the ceremony with a leading seven nominations, including two in the video category while Taylor had four nobs.
