VICTORIA BECKHAM was one of the first guests to arrive at Westminster Abbey for Will and Kate‘s wedding, but did she dress the part? Victoria showed up clad in one of her own designs – a midnight-colored sheath dress, a Philip Treacy hat and Christian Louboutin heels – but was it the knockout look she expected?
Entertainment Weekly’s fashion corespondent Steven Cojocaru thinks she made a big fashion blunder.
“She looked like an extra in Twiligh. She looked like an old widow in mourning attire. The headgear was less a hat, and more of a giant hockey puck glued to her noggin. And the ponytail was too casual and cutesy for such a formal important event.”
We sort of like this look, honestly. It’s nice she didn’t try to steal attention away from the bride in something more glitzy. It was understated in all the right ways.
