ANNA KOURNIKOVA will replace JILLIAN MICHAELS on “The Biggest Loser”, hopefully raising the ratings and bringing in more male viewers for the NBC show. Don’t blondes always do?
Celebrity news reports that Jillian has moved on to better things with her NBC spinoff, “Losing It With Jillian” (why does this sound like mental hospital fodder?), and “The Doctors” where she’ll be a special correspondent on the panel-discussion CTD show for CBS.
And world’s number 8, Anna, with her white Russian blondness and wholesome toned tanned-ness is planning to throw Jillian‘s tape measure away and get contestants sold on “overall well-being and health,” in line with NBC’s initiatives for shifting the show away from having the contestants…uh…losing it… from stress and exhaustion.
Hollywood news remembers when Kournikova previously appeared in Season 10 where her tennis-themed workout was popular with viewers, and there were talks to develop a show around her charisma as a pop icon (yes, believe it or not, she is one – there’s a brand of Russian skim milk and a Texas Hold ‘em poker suit named after her).
So will Anna joining “The Biggest Loser” be a big hit for the contestants…or for NBC?
