Former Playboy model, Kendra Wilkinson got ousted off Dancing With The Stars Tuesday, but Kirstie Alley, who fell with partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy in their previous rumba performance dances on.
Kendra‘s tearful goodbye from the ABC reality show had a lot of people asking:
“Why is Kirstie Alley still in the competition?”
Kendra‘s elimination seems to underline one of the major flaws in reality TV competitions. Thanks to sympathetic voters and a larger fan base, poorer dancers remain while the better dancers get eliminated.
Still, a lot of Dancing viewers are hard pressed not to find sympathy with Alley, whose highly publicized battle with weight has made her the butt of jokes for years. That hasn’t stopped Alley from dancing with mighty determination each week.
Is being the popular underdog the new winning strategy for reality TV?
