Well, what do you know? A desperate housewife, a “Sin City” hooker, and Ugly Betty have been appointed U.S. Immigration Advisers by no less than President Barack Obama. According to Hollywood celebrity gossip, Eva Longoria, Rosario Dawson, and America Ferrera are billed as “influential Hispanics”, and President Obama wants to know their take on immigration policy reform.
According to Hollywood news and gossip, the President wants their advice, particularly about the DREAM act, and presumably to gain thumbs up from the growing Latino community. After all, 2012 is less than a year away…
“The president assured those at the meeting that congressional Democrats would continue to call for passage of the DREAM Act, a measure that would provide permanent U.S. residency to college graduates and military veterans who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children. The legislation passed the House in 2010 but was blocked in the Senate.”
Hey, Mr. President, you forgot Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, Sofia Vergara, Salma Hayek, Zoe Zaldana, Eva Mendez and Cameron Diaz. Aren’t they hotter influential, too?
