Japan hates RUSSELL BRAND‘s guts – they’ve kicked the top UK stand-up comic out of the country. According to Hollywood news and gossip, Brand was expelled from the land of the rising sun Sunday shortly after he and wife Katy Perry landed for a series of Katy‘s concerts in the earthquake and tsunami-devastated country. Apparently, they didn’t think Brand could cheer them up as well as his U.S. pop star wife could.
In a tweet he sent out from the airport together with the above photo , Brand continued to display his crazy sense of humor despite the incident:
“Planning escape from Japanese custody. It’s bloody hard to dig a tunnel with a chopstick”.
Katy Perry also had a Twitter message of her own in response to the whole thing:
“So… my husband just got deported from Japan…for priors from over 10 years ago! I brought him all this way to show him my favorite place.”
According to the latest Hollywood gossip, the “Arthur” star’s eviction may have had to do with any number of run-ins with the law related to drugs or promiscuity, or both.
Ah, Japan. You never do forget, do you? Wonder if you’d also deport descendants of people who’d done a number on Hiroshima and Nagasaki 65 years ago.
