JEFF CONAWAY, star of Grease and the T.V. show Taxi, died today. Conaway suffered a massive prescription pill overdose last week and was rushed to the hospital. Soon doctors realized that it wasn’t his daily pill-taking that led to stay in the E.R. but pneumonia.
Conaway suffered from what is now being described as a rare combination of pneumonia and a blood disorder called sepsis. He remained in a coma and on life support for two weeks before, as the latest Hollywood news reports, his family opted to take him off.
Conaway spent some time on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Pinsky after he checked himself in to battle addictions to alcohol, cocaine and pain killers.
Rest in peace, Jeff Conaway!
