MARIAH CAREY was reported to child protective services for boozing! The new mother was visited by an official last May 12 after someone called in to report her, claiming that she was drinking alcohol and popping pain pills in the hospital.
NICK CANNON, Mariah’s hubby, went on ‘Piers Morgan Tonight’ to shed some light on the whole drama:
“Child protective services were called with allegations that there was some drinking and drugs going on while in the hospital… Which makes no sense – how would a hospital allow that?”
Nick added:
“It all started when a nurse suggested to my wife that if you drink a small amount of Guinness the yeast improves breastfeeding. I don’t know if someone overheard that, but then they were saying my wife was drinking beer. People would do anything to conjure up a story.”
Apparently, according to celebrity news sites, the snitch was hoping to get some money by selling Mariah out to a tabloid.
Mariah and Nick were able to smooth things out with child services, but it must have been a stressful experience for both of them, especially with two newborns to care for.
So who’s to blame for this whole fiasco?
