Here’s the latest celebrity news (and again, it involves a breakup): PIA TOSCANO and MARK BALLAS have called it quits! The couple began a whirlwind romance following Pia’s shocking elimination from ‘American Idol’ last April 7. Obviously, it didn’t last long.
Pia and Mark met after sharing neighboring trailers for their respective reality shows and began dating shortly after. Pia even performed on ‘Dancing With The Stars’ while Mark danced, and the latter sat front row to support his new girlfriend as she performed again on ‘American Idol’.
Although they seemed quite happy together—Pia even met Mark’s family—the two have suddenly and abruptly ended their relationship. According to Pia, she and Mark are just friends now. She tells HollywoodLife.com:
“You know, he is so busy and I am so busy, we really are just friends!”
The former ‘Idol’ contestant adds:
“He is a wonderful person, who comes from a wonderful family! I’m really rooting for him…”
Maybe Pia just wants to focus on her career:
“I’m really working hard… I’m working hard right now on my music!”
