Back when ROBERT PATTINSON wasn’t on the cover of every celebrity news magazine, he used to tell people that he was PRINCE WILLIAM’s schoolmate—but he wasn’t. Robert pretended to be connected to the Royal family to help him gain connections when he first came to the States.
Robert went on ‘The Graham Norton Show’ last week and talked about the little white lie he used to tell:
“When I first came to L.A., it was very easy to convince people I was a member of the royal family. I hadn’t worked for three years — I was unemployed in London — and when people asked what I’d been doing, I told people I went to RADA [Royal Academy of Dramatic Art] with Prince William.”
Well, here’s something else we now know about the ‘Twilight’ star’s past! Robert added:
“People would think, ‘You’re English, I completely believe you!’”
But wouldn’t it have been cool if they really were friends?
