AMY WINEHOUSE‘s doctors have put their foot down in a firm intervention for the “Rehab” singer; they’ve told her in no uncertain terms if she doesn’t quit drinking she could die. Amy checked herself into rehab voluntarily last week, but was seen exiting a liquor store with a bottle of vodka which she chugged down like it was water while on her way to the facility. One for the road, so to speak…

The “Stronger Than Me” singer, whose immense talent let to six Grammy nominations, five of which she won, is best known for her R&B, jazz and soul mixed genres, and her stormy and drug fueled relationship with ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil, and for stints in rehab, appearing in public disheveled and in her underwear, and various assault offenses against fans and people in pubs.

According to star news, this latest spell at a rehab facility is a last ditch effort for the 27-year-old singer to dry up. Doctors have warned her she won’t have long to live if she continues with her current lifestyle.

Such a pity not to have a follow-up to the widely successful “Frank” and “Back To Black” albums. Let’s hope Amy cleans up her act and gets back to wowing her audiences in style.
