The latest Hollywood news reveals that ‘Monster’s Ball’ actor BILLY BOB THORNTON, who is also famous for being Angelina Jolie‘s ex, has just been dealt a heavy blow: his eldest daughter, Amanda Brumfield, has been convicted of manslaughter for the death of her friend’s baby back in 2008. Amanda was babysitting the child when it suffered a fatal head injury and died a few hours later.
Back in October 2008, a woman named Heather Murphy, who was a friend of Amanda’s, left her baby in the latter’s care. The baby, whose name was Olivia, died that same night from a three-and-a-half inch fracture to the back of her skull, as well as bleeding and swelling to her brain.
Billy Bob’s daughter claimed that the baby fell from her playpen and hit her head, but the injuries themselves prove that this was not the truth. According to the autopsy, the baby’s brain injury and fractured skull were the result of blunt trauma to the head.
Amanda claimed that she even played with baby Olivia after the fall, fed her, and took a nap with her on the couch. She also said that Olivia seemed “happy” before they went to sleep, but was limp when she awoke. She called the police two and a half hours after the injury took place.
After being tried back in 2008 for first degree murder and aggravated child abuse, Amanda has now been found guilty of aggravated manslaughter.
Billy Bob, who isn’t a stranger to legal troubles and criminal investigations when it comes to his offspring, is reportedly estranged from his convicted daughter Amanda.
