According to the latest Hollywood gossip, EMMA STONE once suffered a total meltdown because of fellow actress HAYDEN PANETTIERE! So what did Hayden do, exactly?
She became a cheerleader, that’s what. And not just any cheerleader—she became the cheerleader who couldn’t die. Yep, we’re talking about Hayden’s role as cheerleader Claire Bennett from the NBC show ‘Heroes.’ Apparently, Emma wanted the role as well.
In her interview with Vanity Fair, Emma talks about her awful experience during her audition for the role:
“I could hear that, in the other room, a girl had just gone in and they were saying, ‘You are our pick … On a scale of 1 to 10 you’re an 11.’”
Obviously, they were talking about Hayden.
Emma admits that after the audition, she felt as if she had hit “rock bottom.” She shares:
“I went home and just had this meltdown.”
Fortunately for Emma, she was able to land her big break less than a year later:
“I did Superbad [her breakout role in 2007] in what would’ve been my senior year… I was playing a senior, and had I graduated I would’ve missed that opportunity, and had I missed that opportunity I wouldn’t be here right now.”
Emma is doing exceedingly well these days—she will be playing Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming Spiderman flick alongside rumored boyfriend Andrew Garfield.
