GEORGE CLOONEY and ELISABETTA CANALIS have ended their over two-year long romance! According to the latest Hollywood news report, the good-looking couple have called it quits.
“We are not together anymore. It’s very difficult and very personal, and we hope everyone can respect our privacy,” Clooney and Canalis issued a joint statement earlier today.
Canalis‘ publicist added: “It is a very personal and sad matter, and Elisabetta wants it to remain that way. She will be taking some time … and then will face the press. She has not authorized me to say when the split happened.”
Just less than 2 weeks ago, we reported that Canalis opened up to Chi, an Italian magazine that she will certainly get married in the future.
“I am a firm believer in marriage, in the future I will be married, but for the time being I am happy as I am,” she said.
We thought that could be a risky idea for her to bring that up in public as George has made it crystal clear that he’ll never re-marry. The golden bachelor also said it earlier this year on Piers Morgan Tonight that he ain’t going to ever walk down that aisle again!
Clooney together with his father Nick Clooney, 77, a former TV host and anchorman. Dad said he would love to see George tying the knot with his gorgeous girlfriend.
But it isn’t look like it’s going to happen anytime soon. This was George’s reaction: “I hate to blow your whole news story, but I was married, so I gave it a shot.”
