JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE opened up about his relationship with former girlfriend and first love BRITNEY SPEARS, saying that he doesn’t think they “were normal.” But what exactly does he mean?
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Justin talks about his relationship with Britney and how they were back then:
“We were two birds of the same feather — smalltown kids, doing the same thing. But then you become adults, and the way you were as kids doesn’t make sense. I won’t speak on her, but at least for me, I was a totally different person.”
He adds:
“I just don’t think we were normal… There was nothing normal about our existence.”
Justin explains that he and Britney, at the time of their relationship, had enough money to do whatever they pleased—which sometimes caused them to be a regular topic on celebrity news and gossip magazines and websites. Their situation was, in his opinion, not “normal”—and he’s probably right. They were just teenagers back then, and yet they already had the income to buy a house together or go on all kinds of expensive vacations—definitely not the norm for young couples.
Justin and Britney were the golden couple of their generation, and their breakup caused—and possibly continues to cause—sadness amongst their fans. However, it really is time to let go.
Justin says:
“I wish her the best, that goes without saying. We haven’t spoke in 9 or 10 years.”
The singer/actor is also said to have no contact whatsoever with his recent ex-girlfriend, Jessica Biel, whom he was in a relationship with for four years.
Guess Justin never stays friends with his exes, huh?
